Lose Weight with Paint Shop Pro XI – Tutorial

JessicaSue asked:

A tutorial on a fairly simple and easy way to edit the subject of a photo into a slimmer version. This technique can be also be used to make anything in a picture larger or smaller (ex. nose, hair, eyes…) I used Corel bPaint Shop/b Pro XI. I’m oldschool – I still need to get the newer version. Here’s the link to try it free for 30 days: http://www.download.com/Corel-bPaint-Shop/b-Pro-Photo/3000-2192-10716793.html?part=dl-CorelPainsubj=dltag=button

im sorry but this is worse than lieing to ppl about ur weight over line.pics..terrible, if larger ppl really want to be proud about a picture of themselves than doign something to atchieve it is beeter than feelign like ur lieign, which u are..And it only hides the self estemm issues u feel..and besides how u look doesnt matter everyone is perfect in there own way..and u can always get better but not by faking it..

It’s fine that some may want to look “real” in their photos but I get asked ALL the time if I can take the fat off a photo. So thanks for the lesson.

I am glad you posted this. I’d always worked with the hardness number set at 50 or more and wondered why I couldn’t get the results I wanted. Now I know. Also, contrary to some of the comments you’ve received, I think seeing yourself slimmer is a huge motivating factor in helping people to reach their weight goals. It worked for me!

A couple of points, I’d like to make here. First of all, it’s a tutorial. It’s not a commentary on prefered body types. Second, it’s a fact that the camera adds weight to people. The reason for this is because you are looking at a two-dimensional representation of a three-dimensional image. This results in some of the depth characteristics being displayed, incorrectly, as width (i.e. it flattens out the image which makes it look fatter). Se keep that in mind when viewing things like this.

Impact, errrr they are mediacally obese and are being made to look slimmer. Its no different than changing somebodies hair colour and actually it should have an impact, if they are over weight and are unhappy with it the should do something about it and not moan about making bigger people feel bad. She is showin off skill not makin a political statement!
