Jeffrey A Solochek, I asked:

The latest and newest trend to hit the streets is the new Nigerian Scam Affiliate Program where affiliates can either make 20% of the money the Nigerians scam or get paid $25 per click. Affiliate marketing is taking the world by storm and every company out there is finding out how profitable it is becoming to offer some sort of affiliate program so that affiliates can also assist them in marketing.

People who have profiles on MySpace will place a link on their Myspace page and invite their network of friends to visit their page. When a visitor then clicks on this link the person with the Myspace profile has just made money. A person who has a MySpace identity and has a large network of friends could realisticly replace their current income with what they make in affiliate earnings.

If you have just signed up for your first MySpace identity you could use a program like Buddypromoter to help you build up your network fast. Some affiliates of Buddypromoter are also giving away these reports to customers that teach them all the ways they can increase their network and at the same time make money using their MySpace profile. One affiliate who I have came into contact with is giving his customer a book he created called MySpaceJobKiller.

Every company out there is now getting an affiliate program like Wal-Mart, StarBuck’s, Blockbuster Video, and sites like AdultFriendFinder. Companies are seeing how all these people who have sites on the WWW are making money by directing their visitors to these affiliate programs they have joined. Some people these days are making full time incomes from affiliate programs they have joined. Some affiliates are even making a lot more money than they used to make at their regular jobs.

Buddypromoter had one customer who made $11,000 their first 30 days after obtaining Buddypromoter. All this money was created by building up a large network on MySpace and then joining several affiliate programs that pay him per click, With $11,000 per month I guarantee that I would be able to give up my day job.

Nigerians who were famous for Phishing scams and Nigerian Scams are now seeing the potential of having affiliates do the recruiting for them. With sites like Ebay not wanting to educate their 100 million plus users because of the potential liability risks everybody can become a victim to one of these scams. The only people who are immune to this are people who lead a very sheltered life up in the mountains or maybe as part of some remote tribe in Africa.

Anybody who has an email address can become a victim of one of these scams that are out there. Yet companies who have customers with email addresses don’t want to educate their customers because they say it increases their liability. People are losing billions of dollars every year as the result of these prevalent scams out there. The company that someday stands up and educates their customers is going to win in a very large way someday because they will become known as the company that actually cares about their customers.

Keishon Martin asked:

The internet power house MySpace, currently is the best way to promote your music to millions of people all over the web. Where every up and coming singer, rapper, producer or independent record label needs to have an attractive MySpace music profile for their recorded material. where in this day and age you are moving very slow if you do not have a myspace page to compete with the best. Then I suggest that you go ahead and sign up now for free to start promoting your music. But first I must let you know what will work for your music and what will not work in the aspect of being effective in your myspace marketing so that you do not waste your time and money, because you can spend a lots of time there with out serving your initial purpose.

Where the first thing that you will need to do is look for some very effective ways that you can stand out from the crowd. And the truth is that millions of other recording artist that already have a MySpace page so it is essentially important to do something very different in your approach to promotion. Having said that, the coding boys at MySpace have not made it particularly easy to do that, (it’s a free service after all) and hence the slew of external companies offering free MySpace layouts. To find a layout you like, simply do a Google search for “Myspace layouts” and you will find a great deal of layouts to choose from. One site in particular that I like is www.spacedoutcodes.com When you find a layout you like, you will get some code to insert into the about me section of your profile field.

But on the down side of it all there are way too many artists spending far too much time promoting their MySpace pages and even worse the waste time typing with goupies instead, when their own artist websites are being ignored. You probably could expect, that the almighty MySpace might (and ill say a BIG might) go out of business in a few years. Most of these mega sites come and gone, especially when there are billions of dollars involved. On the other hand, the company known as Google Inc. may thrive, who knows?

But a good thing to do is to make your MySpace page personal. Talk to your fans like you know them and post comments on their pages too. If you take the time to show love to your fans, then your fans will show love back to you. Also take the time to add some interesting personal info about your background, yourself, or the entire band if appropriate. Try to include some great photos, both professional and regular home photos, and of course allow people to download some mp3s of your music.

Now the next thing to do is to grab some new fans from MySpace. What I would suggest is that you accept all those who people who make a request to be your friend, and try to add every body. And I would even go seeking friend adds from other bands. The reason is that other bands love to listen to the competition, and you may even want to discuss joint ventures with them, but whats better than going after the bands is to go after those other bands fans instead, cause you already know that they like music. To do this, find bands that are on the same musical genre with you.

As it can be some what overwhelming to see some stars with just about a million friends and over 10,000 song plays per day, but wouldn’t it be nice to get to that place? I can’t stress this point enough which is the need to get your new potential fans to come visit your own website and not your myspace page. As the more places that you are at in the Internet will draw more people to look for your myspace page.
